The initial commissioning scope is derived from Customer Agency, GSA PM &
Operating Personnel input as well as previous experience with similar buildings.
The Commissioning Systems Selection Matrix provided in Appendix B of this
Guide is a useful tool in selecting systems to commission for a particular facility
type. Exact systems shall be determined on a project to project basis.
Commissioning for Certifications (LEED, Energy Star, etc.)
Development of the preliminary Commissioning Plan and initial commissioning
scope shall also include a discussion regarding project certifications and goal
attainment (i.e. LEED, Energy Star, Energy Goals, Design Awards, etc.).
For the project to be LEED certified, commissioning process activities must
comply with the prerequisite requirements for fundamental building commis-
